These Tiny Bee Drones Can Help With Pollination

Over the past century, the population of honey bees has been declining, and for the most part it has been a huge mystery.  The extinction of bees would be something that would potentially effect the pollination of flowers. This crisis even made a not so subtle appearance on the big screen in Paramount Picture's "Bee Movie".  Well, scientists have been working hard to think of ways to assist the existing bees in pollination. In fact, a team of scientists from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan have created tiny drones for the purpose of pollinating flowers.  The drones have animal-like fur to pick up pollen and carry it to another flower.  Although the drones don't look very "beeish" like the realistic drones in the Netflix show Black Mirror, they are just as effective as bees.  Check out the video below to learn more about these bee drones.
