These 'Bag Ladies' Use Plastic Bags to Make Beds for the Homeless

A group of local women at a Tennessee church got wind of the amount of homeless people sleeping along the Mississippi River and decided to get to work.  They started recycling plastic bags in order to create mats for people to sleep on.  On their site they say these “Mats will keep moisture away from body, create heat, and be soft to sleep on,”  Their dedication to making these mats is inspiring.  Not only are these mats making homeless people a little more comfortable, but it's a great way to recycle plastic bags, which are a huge polluter. Check out the "Bag Ladies" in action below and head over to their site.
