If you are an 80's baby or even an early 90's baby, the word Tamagotchi should ring a bell to you. Tamagotchi was a pocket device that was essentially a digital pet. The goal was to keep your Tamagotchi fed and happy. The egg-shaped device could fit in your pocket and was a huge craze in schools. They came in different colors and could attach to keychains. Bandai has decided to re-release the 1996 version of the popular device after over 20 years! The only catch is that it is only available in Japan or on Amazon Japan. There's no telling how well the device will do considering the advancements of smartphones and apps; but maybe it will appeal more to the older audience who want that sense of nostalgia. Let us know in the comments below if you think Bandai can revive the Tamagotchi!
