Elon Musk has been on his path of innovation for a while and he is not letting up anytime soon. He has been developing and talking about the "Hyperloop", a high speed underground form of transportation in LA, for a while now. Last night, Elon Musk took to Twitter to announce that the first test tunnel is near completion. He also mentioned that it will launch on December 10th. Elon claimed in the past that the underground passenger capsules will reach speeds up to 750 mph, but the trial tunnel will have a top speed of 155 mph. Originally a Hyperloop trip was said to be cheaper than a bus ticket but for the trial tunnel Elon will be giving out free rides after its launch. Stay tuned to see how the trial run will go! It will certainly be a huge advancement for LA transit if it works out well.
