If anyone was sleeping on Black Thought, he definitely woke them up yesterday when he dropped a 10 minute freestyle of straight bars on Hot 97. Black Thought, also best known for being the lead vocalist of The Roots, gave Funk Flex a visit to remind the listeners why he is one of the best lyricists out. The best part about the freestyle is that he is actually dropping gems in his lyrics and not just spitting hollow metaphors. That, combined with the fact that he was rapping for 10 straight minutes with no interruption is extremely impressive. The freestyle is definitely a breath of fresh air in the mumble rap ridden hip-hop game. Check out the footage below!
