One tree can be made into hundreds of pencils, but now with Sprout this process can be reversed. Each Sprout pencil contains a seed at the end, so when your used pencil is too short to write with, you can plant it and watch a plant grow. Sprout pencil was originally introduced back in 2012 on Kickstarter, but is still going strong as the Sprout company has rolled out many different types of plantable seeds since then.
