Tech Tuesday: Meet Team Wristify

The MIT group, Embr Labs, have made it as finalists with their Wristify concept for Intel's "Make It Wearable" challenge. Wristify is a bracelet that sends hot or cold impulses on your wrist to alter your body’s perception of temperature. Sam Shames, one of the inventors, says it all started with him wondering why being in the same temperature-controlled room would cause a different reaction between him and his mother. Throughout his initial research, he discovered that like many things, its perspective-based. The first prototype included a big temperature conductor clinging on the user’s wrist with a fake Rolex strap.

The product transitions from watch-like to bracelet-like with its final version. AC's beware; this technological wristband could make air conditioning obsolete.
