On February 6, 2018, Elon Musk sent a car, yes a car, to space. It was his own red Tesla Roadster piloted by "Starman", a mannequin dressed as an astronaut. The car was mounted on a rocket that was sent to space by Musk; the rocket gave the car enough velocity to escape Earth's gravity and enter an orbit around the sun. The Roadster, unless it is hit by an asteroid and destroyed will continue to orbit the Sun. So, the question is, where exactly is the car right now? Well, Tech Insider gives us a look as to where the car is, when it will orbit closes to earth next, and the approximate speed it is going.
