Wallets can be made from virtually anything, as long as the material is foldable and can hold your money safely. We've seen wallets made from leather, paper, duct tape and more; but wallets made from banana trees is a first. Green Banana Paper Wallets is a company that does just this. Their vegan leather wallets are made completely from banana trees. Their company is what they call a "Waste to Wealth" startup and is located on the island of Kosrae, Micronesia. The island has countless banana trees that grow quickly and must be chopped down at harvest anyway, so using the trees for their fibers is a no-brainer. The natural fibers make the wallet durable and water-resistent.
