It's been a couple of years since Wale has released an official album, his last being "The Album About Nothing". The 2015 album went #1 and since then Wale has been working and releasing new music and videos. In addition, there has been some controversy since his last album. There was a small feud with labelmate Meek Mill, which eventually got handled in-house and they are on good terms. Also, Wale and J. Cole exchanged small lyrical jabs over wax after J. Cole wrote a verse about wale in the song "False Prophets".
2 years later, Wale finally has released his 5th Studio album entitled "Shine". The album cover features a baby hand holding a blue moon in from of a technicolor type background.
