To Film or Not to Film Pt. 2: Childhood Moments

In an age where every phone has a camera and everything is film worthy, sometimes we have to take a step back and ask ourselves; "Should I be filming this?".  To Film or Not to Film is a blog series from Superego that discusses exactly that; moments that deserve to be experienced and not filmed.  Let's dive into Part 2 of the series, "Childhood Moments".

There are a lot of loving parents out there that love to share every waking moment they have with their children.  They want to update everyone and document their children's progress in life.  Is there such thing as taking this too far?  Can you miss out on childhood moments because you're so focused on your phone and 'likes'.  Louis CK had a comedy bit where he describes his experience at a school event.  Every parent was watching their kids perform through a small screen in front of their face instead of watching the real life version in front of them.  Now don't get me wrong, it's nice to have some photos/videos of your kids to look back and reminisce, but please parents don't take it overboard.  Spend some quality time with your kids, the type of time that doesn't put a smartphone barrier between you and your child.
