This Building Made of Plastic Bottles can Withstand an Earthquake
Many companies, organizations, and designers are coming up with creative ways to help combat the huge problem of plastic waste, specifically plastic bottles. Arthur Huang, for example, has designed a building powered by solar energy and made from plastic bottles. The EcoARK in Taiwan is made from 1.5 million recycled plastic bottles and is a whopping nine-stories tall. Many people might think that because the structure is made from plastic bottles that it is fragile, but it can actually withstand natural disasters such as fires and earthquakes! The EcoArk has been standing tall for 7 years and is used as an exhibit hall. Check out some images of the amazing architecture below!
