Plastic waste has become so normalized for most of us. At times, we can walk down the street and not even notice if a plastic bottle or plastic utensil is on the ground. This is a huge problem since most plastic waste isn't biodegradable. Well, artists Cruder and Lapenta are changing how we look at plastic waste. With their installation entitled "Natural Plasticity" they are getting people in LA to notice plastic waste. They have made an oversized plastic cup and plastic water bottle and have displayed them in public areas. These gigantic plastics capture peoples attention immediately. Hopefully these displays will wake people up and get them to notice how much waste is actually around them! Check out a bird's eye view of the display below.
