Starbucks is Ditching Plastic Straws
Strides are being made recently to lessen the amount of plastic waste that is created. Many huge companies are starting to wake up and realize the consequences of their production methods. Starbucks is the latest company to take steps towards a more sustainable future. They have announced that they will eliminate single use plastic straws from more than 28,000 stores by 2020. They will be replacing the plastic straws with compostable straws and also using straw-less lids that will be recyclable. This is obviously a huge move for Starbucks although the coffee industry still has a long way to go before it is completely green. Check out the new recyclable lids below!
