The name Elon Musk seems to come up in the news almost every week. By now, we are all well aware that Elon Musk is a creative force and loves pushing the boundaries of invention.  Just in the past few days, it surfaced that he is working on making Bluetooth implants that link your brain to your smartphone, a headline that should certainly be followed by the "mind-blown" emoji.  It seems that Microsoft is captivated by the powerful intellect of Elon Musk, so much so that they have decided to invest $1 Billion dollars into OpenAI, which is an artifical intelligence research company co-founded by Elon Musk.

In a press release, OpenAI and Microsoft talked about their mission, saying “Modern AI systems work well for the specific problem on which they’ve been trained, but getting AI systems to help address some of the hardest problems facing the world today will require generalization and deep mastery of multiple AI technologies,” Microsoft must believe that there is a strong future in OpenAI, and with the partnership they hope to be able to build AI that can tackle more complex tasks.  Stay tuned for updates on this partnership!
