Floating Recycled Park Modules

A few days ago we posted about The Ocean Cleanup which deployed a giant device to help clean up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.  The act of cleaning up plastic waste begs to ask another question; what do we do with all the plastics collected?  Well, instead of dumping them somewhere the most logical solution is to reuse! The Recycled Island Foundation is an organization that has been working the past 5 years to do just that.  They have been using recycled plastics to create plastic hexagons that function as small floating parks. The hexagonal parks show how plastic waste can be reused and serve a better purpose and an ecological function. Check out the video below to see how these small floating parks are made and head over to recycledpark.com to learn more about this amazing initiative.
