As a result of warmer temperatures due to global warming, the Arctic Glaciers have slowly been retreating since the 1800's. Of course this issue didn't happen overnight, and its hard to see visible differences in the matter of days or months. Photographer Christian Aslund wanted to show a visualization of the decline of these glaciers through his photography. He used pictures of the glaciers from 100 years ago and took new photos of the same scenery. The results are shocking. You can clearly see a huge difference, as some of the huge walls of ice are now nothing more small ice caps.
