Yes, you've read correctly... today is World Emoji Day; an unofficial holiday that celebrates the expressive little characters that most of us use on the regular. From the old days of :) to the new days of 😃, we have been searching further than words to find ways of expressing ourselves. Emoji's have been this new way of communication and they are only expanding. Today, in honor of World Emoji Day, Apple celebrates by releasing some new emojis. Apple says: "The new emoji designs, created based on approved characters in Unicode 11.0, include even more hair options to better represent people with red hair, gray hair and curly hair, a new emoji for bald people, and new smiley faces that bring more expression to Messages with a cold face, party face, pleading face and a face with hearts."
