A Giant Plastic Collector is Being Sent to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch

Yesterday was Earth Day, but we believe Earth Day should be everyday.  We should always be conscious of how are actions affect the Earth and what we can do to reverse some of the negative actions we've done in the past. "The Ocean Cleanup" is one organization that recognizes this. They recently developed a giant plastic collector with a focus on cleaning up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.  This patch is located between Hawaii and California and is the largest accumulation of ocean plastic at an estimated 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic junk.  The system they will put in place will contain giant flexible pipes and a large net that can capture plastic but not fish.  The plastic collector is estimated to be ready mid-year!  We commend any organization or company that is helping to combat plastic pollution as it is a huge issue plaguing our world! Take a preview look at the assembly yard that will be used below!
