On March 9th every year, the hip-hop community recognizes the life and achievements of the Notorious B.I.G. Known for his realistic rhymes, Biggie gave his listeners a glimpse of what it meant to "hustle." His early days in Brooklyn, New York prepared him to become one of hip-hop's top rappers in the 90's. He worked his way through controversy and adversity, but was unfortunately gunned down in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997. His untimely death left the entire hip-hop culture at a disturbance.
Today, Biggie is recognized as a legend that paved the way for many artist we listen to currently. As we celebrate the 19th anniversary of the life of Biggie Smalls, may we also remember his inspiring words for his listeners to continue to "hustle." You never know where it might take you, because the sky is the limit.
