Eco-Village Made From Recycled Bottles

The Plastic Bottle Village may seem like a fantasy name for a make believe place, but it's not.  Although the village is not fully done, planning for this Plastic Bottle Village is in full swing.  The village is located in Panama and is an 83 acre eco-community that will eventually contain around 120 homes.  The homes will be constructed from a metal frame and then filled with thousands of recycled bottles.  After that, the walls will be filled with concrete.

We have posted about another similar community that uses recycled material to build homes, and it seems like the idea is definitely spreading.  Hopefully in the future, most homes can be made from reusable materials.  Check out some images of the homes made from recycled bottles below!
